You are not required to know the SOP by heart, in fact it will not be a requirement until Captain. Please read at your own discretion, and keep in mind that SOPs are suggestions and are not here to impose significant overhead on members. We are playing a video game after all.
¶ DCS-DTC
The 93rd TFS recommends the use of DCS-DTC to configure your jet. This is an external program that minimics the functions of a data cartridge. Our provided DTC file will preset the following:
- CMDS profiles
- Set radios to CSG8 communications plan
- MFDs
- FCR settings
- HTS tables
- Datalink (Assuming the flights are Plasma and Disco)
- You must go into Datalink and ensure you are setting the correct own station if you use this default DTC.
- Bingo to 2500
- Enable Bullseye
You can also use Frag Orders if it is provided, and select a flight to download a DTC specific to that mission.

¶ Checkrides
Initial Qualification Checkride

The IQT is meant to be taken within 30 days of joining the unit. Most players who have flown on Hoggit a couple times and have a basic understanding of theory should be able to pass the IQT.

¶ Components

Name: The pilot’s name and callsign on the side of the canopy. Names are written in 40pt Sitka with FS17875.

Helmet: A custom helmet file. Helmet design must be CSG8 rules compliant, tasteful, and XO/CO have final say of approval. Pilot’s callsign must appear on helmet if applicable. 93rd Valkyrie OR lightning bolt is also required to be integrated into design.

Personal Flash: A small. single color (FS13618 or FS17875) image appearing after the pilot’s name on the side of the jet. The image must be CSG8 rules compliant, tasteful, uncontraversial, and XO/CO get final say on approval, for any reason. The personal flash must fit within the following bounding box:

Nose Art: A small, multicolor (Up to 5 + black and white), image stylized to be made out of brush strokes, chalk, or other hand drawn method, that appears on the side of the jet either behind the ejection seat warning stencil or between the upper and side RWR antennas. The design must be CSG8 rules compliant, tasteful, uncontraversial, and the XO/CO get final say on approval, for any reason.
Nose art should ideally use the federal standard color palette.
The nose art must fit within either of the following bound boxes:
- Kill Marks: While flying in a 93rd aircraft during an official operation night (Saturdays or Friday), in an internally built campaign (no server raids), you are eligible to recieve kill art based on the following criteria:
