The United States Secretary of Defense (SecDef) has ordered the immediate deployment of the 5th Special Forces Group (5SFG) to the Sinai Peninsula and Republic of Kemet to neutralize the Republic of Kemet’s nuclear and biological weapons programs, terminate the totalitarian dictatorship of General Emir Nasr III (A♠), and prosecute any military or government personnel of the Republic of Kemet that are supporting the dictatorship or furthering its goals of proliferating nuclear or biological weapons.
The 1SFC area of interest includes the land areas of the province of Sinai, and the country of Kemet. The province of Sinai is currently under invasion and occupation by the Kemetian Republican Army (KRA) , specifically its 1st Field Army, 1st Armored Division, and 2nd Armored Division. The Eastern half of the Sinai Peninsula is under active assault, and Tyrianian forces have been pushed out Sinai into their population center on the Mediterranean. The Western half of the Sinai Peninsula is occupied by the KRA, through which the KRA’s 1st and 2nd Armored communication and supply pass through. The Republic of Kemet, now under the dictatorial control of General Emir Nasr III, is a country most defined by the Kemetian Ministry of Defense’s control of most major industry and public services. Military presence is heavy throughout the country’s populated Northeastern core. The New Administrative Capital (NAC), Cairo, Alexandria, Sadat City, Borg El Arab, Faiyum, and Sixth of October in particular are homes to the majority of Kemet’s nuclear and biological weapons programs. The most sensitive target in the country is the Sanhur Nuclear Generating Station (SNGS), just North of Faiyum, where the Kemetian regime enriches uranium alongside civilian power generation.
The 1SFC area of operations (AOR) includes the land areas and maritime areas of the province of Sinai and the country of Kemet, from the Suez Canal to the Port of Alexandria, and from the mouth of the Nile River Delta to the town of Asyut.
The terrain of the Sinai peninsula is predominantly desert. A mountainous desert exists in the southern portion of the peninsula. The northern desert is mostly flat, with rolling sand dunes and small hills. Vegetation is sparse, and unable to conceal a man. In the country of Kemet, the AOR is centered on a river delta, which has rich, fertile soil, supporting abundant vegetation and agriculture. Most land is flat and low-lying, however the Nile river itself settles into a gentle valley that may provide some coverage. The area immediately surrounding the flood plain and river valley is a hyper-arid desert, specifically the Saharan desert, characterized by very large sand dunes with poor concealment opportunities.
From March to August, the weather in the AO impacts military operations in two major ways. First, the average daytime temperatures range in the high 90s during the day. If soldiers and leaders do not ensure proper hydration and regular meals, the likelihood of warm weather injuries greatly increases. In addition, long term use of vehicles during hot temperatures can result in equipment breakdown.
1. (TS) Kemetian Regime Change
Kemetian political objectives are illogical and at the whim of General Emir Nasr III. The dictator has stated that they intend to absorb the State of Tyriana, followed by the Phonecian Republic. The three countries have long been local rivals and non-cooperative, however, after a change of government in Tyriana, and economic stability in Phoenicia, the three countries seemed poised to strike an economic and military alliance to combine their oil and manufacturing sectors and create a Levantine Union. This culminated in the three governments staging an economic and unification summit in Cairo. During this summit, General Emir Nasr III staged a coup, supported by several high ranking members of the Kemetian Republic Army, Kemetian Air Force, and Kemetian Republic Navy. This was likely supported by other members of the Kemetian Ministry of Defense, as the KMOD holds a unusual and significant amount of control over the economy and a unified military agreement with another country threatened the autonomy of the KMOD and its individual’s power over their domains.
2. (TS) Hauran Republic Influences
It is commonly believed and observed by the US Intelligence community that many KMOD personnel have personal relationships with the President of the Hauran Republic’s administration and that the Hauran Republic appears to have had deeper political connections with the Kemetian Ministry of Defense, rather than the Kemetian government as a whole. It is unknown, what, if any action Hauranian military assets are taking in Tyriana, however they are suspected of conducting covert operations to destabilize Phoenicia in preparation for a Kemetian invasion, as well as directly arming irregular forces in the region such as the Salasyl and Al-Iksir cartel.
Overall, the Republic of Kemetian Military Forces (RKAF) largely reflect a Tier 1 capability throughout. The RKAF possess equipment to operate appropriately in the desert terrain, and conduct successful all weather operations. Upper echelon RKAF command is largely supportive of the autocratic dictactorship of General Emir Nasr III and frontline troops of the RKAF are extremely disciplined to follow orders.
1. Kemetian Republican Army (KRA). The KRA is currently conducting a multidivisional invasion of the Sinai peninsula. The invasion started at approximately 202200ZJUN03 and has resulted in the KRA conquering the Peninsula in its entirety. The 2nd Armored Division in the Southern Peninsula has been at least 60% attrited by Tyrian forces. The 1st Armored Division is operating in the North Peninsula and is estimated to be still at 80% strength and fully operational. A 2nd Field Army also exists but has not been deployed or apparently assembled yet. It is possible that the KRA is operating at reduced command capacity post-coup and this has reduced the amount of commands they can reliably operate.
2. Kemetian Republican Navy (KRN). The KRN is composed of Red Sea and Mediterranean Fleet. Each fleet operates an equivalent Tarawa-class Landing Helicopter Dock ship, and an Olvanian Luyang II-class destroyer as its command vessels. Both navies possess a large amount of fast attack crafts, frigates, and corvettes, and the KRN is mostly engaged in the activity of policing the world’s busiest shipping route from pirate activity. Currently, both fleets are providing support to the land invasion either via helicopter operational support or direct surface fires.
3. Kemetian Air Force (KAF). The KAF is composed of 17-19 tactical fighter squadrons, spread across 8 Wings and their operational bases. All operational bases are located in the Republic of Kemet and expeditionary fixed wings are not operating in the Sinai Peninsula, however rotary aircraft are operating out of improvised FOBs and captured air bases. The KMOD had a license to build its own F-16C bl.52 (designated F-16CK), and still maintains the manufacturing facilities.
4. Kemetian Air Defense Forces (KADF). The KADF operates a robust Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) network that includes several integrated complexes and independent radar SAM systems. Most of its divisions participate in a national Integrated Air Defense System (IADS), except for the 20th Missile Defense Division, and 1st Expeditionary Air Defense Division. The 20th Missile Defense Division is primarily tasked with ballistic missile defense (BMD) and operates its own radar network for this purpose. The 1st EXP AD Div is made up of highly mobile air defense brigades that are attached to KRA divisions and maneuver with the army. It is unknown how well the 1st EXP AD Div’s sensor network integrated with the national IADS, although it is expected to be poor and predominantly independent. The KMOD has a license to manufacture its own native SA-20B and SA-23 systems, and has indigenously upgraded its antique SA-2 and SA-3 systems.
5. Kemetian Republic Guard (KRG). The state of the KRG is largely unknown at this time as its structure was most directly impacted by the Coup. It only receives orders from General Emir Nasr III himself, and is extremely well equipped and has access to the full might of Kemet’s entire military arsenal. It is likely tasked with guarding Kemet’s nuclear research program, and likely possesses near autocratic power to do so compared to other branches of armed service in Kemet. The KRG will have a large presence in Cairo, the NAC, Faiyum, Port Said, Sadat, Alexandria, and other KMOD facilities that contribute to the nuclear weapons and biological warfare research and manufacturing.
The majority of research and manufacturing of nuclear and biological weaponry in Kemet is done in Division 39, an organization within the Kemetian Ministry of Defense. It is led by General Amsi Khalid (A♦), a loyalist to the Nasr Regime and personal friend of General Emir Nasr II. Best intelligence estimate places Division 39 headquarters in National Adminstrative City, inside the Octagon, however it is believed that Division 39 senior leadership is not present there with any regularity or predictability. Division 39 is new, with its inception being 3 days after the Coup by General Emir Nasr III’s, however it draws from existing peaceful civilian nuclear power programs that predated the Coup as well as previous government and civilian research into biological and nuclear technology.
Division 39’s nuclear weapon program is lead by Air Marshal Mohamed ibn Tariq al-Amin (J♦). US Intelligence places the General regularly traveling between the Jabal Missile Test and Launch Facility (JSTL00062) and Nile Kinematics (JSTL00084). Division 39 is specifically tasked with the research, materials production, procurement and/or manufacturing, and operationally integrating a medium range ballistic nuclear missile that can strike any target within 2000nmi. Division 39 has many personnel related to the successful development of short range ballistic conventional missiles, as well as scientists who are either personally or financially motivated by General Emir Nasr III. It is unknown how close Division 39 is to fielding an operational ballistic missile however they are moving quicker than any program in history. Additionally, it is highly probable that the program is receiving financial and subject matter expert support from Donovia and Hauran.
Division 39’s biological wepaons program is lead by Major General Youssef ibn Anwar al-Rawi (J♣), with an adminstrative headquarters in the KMOD Octogon, however General al-Rawi is unlikely to be on the premises. US Intelligence believes that a rampant cattle die-off in the previous months in Gorgas was test run of a latex-based anti-livestock agent in development by Division 39. Division 39 may also be in development of a nerve agent intended to be delivered via SRBM or cluster munition as an area denial weapon however substantial amounts of intelligence have not been able to verify this.
Within the AOR, 1SFC will be under direct command of the Joint Forces Land Component Commander (JFLCC) of Joint Task Force Eight. Joint Task Force Eight includes other adjacent units that will be conventionally operating within the AOR asyncronously and indepedently of 1SFC forces.
Joint Task Force Eight contains the following subordinate units in addition to 1SFC:
Details on these units and composition can be found in the ORBAT.
Joint Task Force Eight has been assembled with the following objectives by order of the President of the United States and Secretary of Defense:
Joint Task Force Eight is expected to start a persistent and devasting air campaign within the 1SFC AOR. As many as 200 sorties are expected per day, with multiple air to ground missions on prioritized strike targets and indescriminantly within designated Blue Kill Boxes.
Many Kemetian citizens are unsatisified by the current regime and may take arms against the government if prompted to by sympathetic military forces. However, most higher ranking civilians including local government are financially motivated to support Emir Nasr III and may alert higher authorities to special forces activity if detected. The majority of the population of Kemet resides within the Nile River Delta along the Nile River directly. The majority of the population in Sinai is located along the Mediterranean coast, and is comprised of Tyrianian citizens that will be sympathetic towards US special forces. Some members of the population may be members of criminal elements such as the Al-Iksir Cartel or Salasyl which will likely report the movements of US special forces to hostile commands.
General Emir Nasr III is a megalomaniac dictator who cannot be detered through flexible deterrent options.
General Emir Nasr III will cause a nuclear weapons employment event in Tyriana if no intervention is made.
The Republic of Kemet Armed Forces will fight without hesitation until its upper command has been dismantled.
The Republic of Kemet does not currently possess nuclear weapons but is likely to breakthrough on operationalizing an indigenous nuclear weapon within the next few monthes.
The 1SFC will forward deploy the 5th Special Forces Group to Tyriana and then deploy into the Peninsula of Sinai and Republic of Kemet to arrest or other neutralize the most-wanted members of President Emir Nasr III’s regime and nuclear and biological weapons program, as designated by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. The 5th Special Forces Group will also sabotage or destroy the Kemetian nuclear and biological industry, military industrial complex, and military as is necessary to help the JFC achieve the United States overall goals in the operation. Ultimately, the 5th Special Forces Group is tasked with the locating of and arrest of President Emir Nasr III.
The primary purpose of our operation is to ensure the dismantlement of the Nasr III Regime. The 5th Special Forces Group will forward deploy to Palmahim Airbase immediately, and prepare for infiltration into the Peninsula. The JFLCC is tasked with prosecuting the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency’s Most Wanted List (“Deck of 52”) utilizing the 5th Special Forces Group. Otherwise, the JFLCC is charged with employing the 5th Special Forces Group to achieve the most destruction, disarray, and disorganizationm within the Republic of Kemet Armed Forces and Ministry of Defense in furthurance of the goals to dismantle the regime and prevent nuclear and biological weapon proliferation.
The President Emir Nasr III Regime of Kemet will collapse on itself due to insufficient command and control of the Ministry of Defense and armed forces and inability to project authority and power within the country. As pragmatic as the situation permits, all key members of the Regime will be arrested and turned over to international authorities to stand trial in international criminal court. Nuclear weapons will not be employed by either side of the conflict. The Sinai Peninsula will be returned to the control of the State of Tyriana.
(TS) Phase I (Force Deployment): Phase I begins with 5th SFG arriving in Palmahim Airbase and preparing equipment and intelligence for further deployment into the Peninsula of Sinai
(TS) Phase II (ODA Injection): Phase II will see all available ODAs deploy into the Peninsula of Sinai on their initial tasks as commanded by the JFLCC. This should be focused on destabalizing the existing front between the KRA and Tyrian Security Forces, and arresting any Sinai deployed Deck of 52 members. The JFLCC, at their discretion, may attempt to send ODAs far and deep into the Republic of Kemet proper in an attempt to prosecute the other Key Tasks, however doing so will be at an inherent high risk of failure and these ODAs are not likely to receive air support.
(TS) Phase III (Offensive - The Claw’s Grip Tightens): Phase III will initiate when the KRA is in partial or full retreat from the existing FLOT with Tyrian Self Defense Forces OR when the United States Army 1st Armored Division is on station and initiating a counter armored push into the Peninsula of Sinai to disassemble the Kemetian 1st Armored Division. Upon Phase III activation ALL ODAs not currently in the Republic of Kemet should be tasked with infiltrating the Republic of Kemet and directly completing Key Tasks objectives.
(TS) Phase IV (Offensive - The Claw Crushes): Phase IV will initiate when the 5th Special Forces Group specifically, or Joint Task Force has achieved enough intelligence to pinpoint the exact pattern of movement and location of Ace of Spades. ODAs will at this point move to ensure that all Face Cards of the Deck of 52 are arrested or prosecuted as close to simultaneously as possible to decapitate the Regime and prevent any transfer of power military personnel that are likely able to secure enough keys to power to ensure the continuitity of the Regime
(TS) Phase V (Stabilize): The Joint Task Force, 5th SFG, and international forces seize temporary control of the Kemetian government and provide policing services, humanitarian assistance, reconstruction, and govenrmental services until the Kemetian government can be returned to the control of lawfully elected leaders.
(TS) 1. ODA Injection:
The following methods will be available for ODA injection into the Sinai Peninsula and Republic of Kemet:

b. MC-130 Airdrop Insertion
c. UH-60L Land Insertion
d. UH-60L Maritime Insertion
e. Land Based Vehicle Insertion
f. Land Based Foot Insertion
g. Land Based Covert Insertion
1. (TS) ODA Mission Assignment: The JFLCC will update the ODA Status sheet in the Multi-Dimensional Target Matrix and request their desired mission profile for each ODA. The JFLCC will then communicate to the JFC that they are finished and the JFC will update the campaign and miz file to reflect in progress operations of the ODAs. The JFLCC will also notify the JFACC of any and all support they will need to accomplish each ODA’s mission so that the JFACC can insert these tasks into the ATO cycle.
The JFC will monitor and update the completion of ODA missions to the JFLCC. Once an ODA has a accomplished the mission, the JLFCC will return to the ODA Status and update that ODA’s mission request.
