Function time/options describes the time or condition that the fuze will activate the payload of the munition. This can be described as a time from impact or a height over ground if using an airbursting option. Any option that will activate the munition payload after impact is typically called a Delay.
For the Mk 339 Mod 0 two function times can be programmed from the armament menu:

For example: if PRI set to 2.6 s, OPT must be 2.7 s or greater.
For any configuration, all munitions of the same type MUST have the same nose and tail fuze types installed. Fuze arm times, and function time/options may be independent.
